Welcome to the Manchester and District Rugby Union Referees' Society web site. This site is intended for all rugby referees, players and supporters coming into our region.

Notices:

Fitness Testing Sessions

Manchester and Liverpool are keen to promote the fitness of their referees. Therefore, some testing sessions have been organised for the start of the season. These are aimed mainly at members of the NW Federation Development Squad and Level 5, 6 and 7 referees. However, other members who are interested can take part by prior arrangement with Paul Renton.

The Cooper Test (basic fitness test on a timed run on the track) will be held on:
  • Thursday, 21st August 2008, 8.00pm at Robin Park, Wigan
The RFU JAM Test will be held at Manchester Grammar School on:
  • Thursday, 28th August from 6.30pm to 9.00pm.
Members should contact Paul Renton to arrange their particular session time during the evening as only two referees can be tested at any one time.
